Located in Pomona, California, Tivoli Plaza & Shield Village is a 90-unit affordable housing community designed to bring seniors and families together within a thoughtfully planned intergenerational environment. Developed by Related California in partnership with Shield of Faith Christian Center and the City of Pomona Redevelopment Agency, the community transformed a formerly blighted mobile home park into a welcoming residential neighborhood.

The 3.6-acre development includes two distinct residential components tailored to the needs of its residents. Tivoli Plaza provides 63 affordable senior apartments alongside a 2,500-square-foot senior center featuring a lounge, computer room, and space for social services. Shield Village adds 27 family townhomes supported by a 1,800-square-foot community center with a multipurpose room, kitchen, and computer area.

While each community offers amenities designed specifically for its residents, shared spaces are centrally located to encourage interaction and create opportunities for connection across generations. The result is an affordable housing community that balances independence with a greater sense of neighborhood, creating a supportive place for residents of all ages to call home.
